WELCOME TO THE LABELS PLUS! PROGRAM!
Labels Plus! has been placed on the Shareware Market so you can
evaluate it and see if it meets your needs before you purchase. When
you Register you will receive the Full Benefits of the program, such
as the Current Updated Version, Complete Documentation, Automatic
Monitor Set Up and no Shareware or Register Notices. Labels Plus! is
Easy to use and the most productive program you can find on the
Shareware Market today. A:\TYPE README>PRN prints out these
instructions. (Four Pages)
From the Main Menu select <SET UP> and press the <ENTER> Key. The Set
Up section will appear on the monitor screen. This is where you enter
the Return Address you want printed on the Envelopes and Shipping
Labels plus all adjustments needed to print the way you want it to.
Press the <ENTER> Key after you finished with each line.
Type in the Name, Address, City, State and Zip Code you want printed
as a Return Address. Use all four lines if you need them.
A short Two Line Advertisement can be printed on the Envelopes if you
want. It will print between the Return Address and the Postage area.
Type in the First Line and Press <ENTER> Type in Second Line and Press
<ENTER>, or just press the <ENTER> Key to skip.
You will find Lines 7 to 11 have already been answered for you to
start out. You can change these later to your own specifications. Just
press the <ENTER> Key when you come to them.
Line 7 adjusts the Line Feeds between printed envelopes.
Line 8 adjusts the Line Feeds between the printed Shipping Labels.
Line 9 gives you the option of printing <TO:> on the Shipping Labels.
Line 10 adjusts spaces to center the Address To on the Envelope.
Line 11 adjusts the Line Feeds between the Return Address and the
Address To. You can print Large Envelopes by increasing this number.
When the prompt asks WHAT NUMBER ? Enter number <1> and Save the Data
you entered. You will automatically be returned to the Main Menu.
From the Main Menu select <ADDRESS RECORDS> and press the <ENTER> Key.
The Address Records section will appear on the screen. This is where
you Enter the Name and Address Data that you want to save in the
Address Database plus all maintenance to keep the Address Records up
to date.
Here you have to decide how you want to enter the Code, Name and
Address. Each Record has a CODE Line that DOES NOT PRINT and Four
Lines that DO PRINT. You can enter up to 20 characters on the Code
Line. If you enter the Zip Code on the Fifth Line it will print out
below the City and State Line. If you want to Search by Zip Code and
want the Zip Code to print with the City and State then enter the Zip
Code on the Code Line and on the same line as the City and State. If
you want search by Last Name then enter a Last Name on the CODE Line.
Select <3> to enter Record Data.
A prompt will ask for a Record Number. Enter a Record Number such as a
<2> and press the <ENTER> Key.
Enter a Zip Code or just press the <ENTER> Key to skip the Code Line
prompt.
Enter the Name and Address. Use 4 lines if needed. Press <ENTER> Key
after each line. If you do not need the optional 4th line just press
the <ENTER> Key to leave it blank.
Now Press the <ENTER> Key to Save the Data you entered. When the
prompt asks for another Record Just press the <ENTER> Key to return to
the Menu or enter the Data for another Record.
To see the Record Data you entered, Select 2 <VIEW/CHANGE RECORD> from
the menu and enter the Record Number you used and that Record will
appear on the screen.
PRINTING ENVELOPES
From the Main Menu select <ENVELOPE> and press the <ENTER> Key.
A facsimile Envelope and a Bar Menu will appear on the screen.

Select <Return Address> and press the <Enter> Key and the Return
Address you entered in the <Set Up> section will appear on the screen
letting you know it will be printed. Advertise and Hand Cancel works
the same way.

Select <Continue> and press the <Enter> Key. The Manual or Search and
print Bar Menu will appear on the screen.

Select <Manl/Recd> and press <Enter> Key. You will be on the first
line of the Address To. With the Manl/Recd option you can now type in
the Name and Address you want printed on the Envelope or just enter
the Record Number only, of the Record you entered in the Address
Record Section, on the first line and press the <Enter> Key. If you
just enter a Record Number then that Record will appear on the screen
and will be printed. If you type in the Name and Address Manually be
sure to press the <Enter> Key after each line until the Bar Menu gives
you a selection of <Continue> or <Cancel>.

Select <Continue> and press the <Enter> Key.
A prompt will now ask Print How Many?. Just pressing the <Enter> Key
to this prompt will print out one envelope with the Data you have
entered. If you enter a higher number the same Envelope will be
printed out as many times as the number you entered. Be sure your
printer is turned on and the Envelope is aligned correctly.

Select <Print Envelope> and press the <Enter> Key to print out the
Envelope. You will have the options to Print The Same One Over if you
did not have it aligned correctly, Continue and enter Data for another
Envelope or go to the Main Menu.
Its difficult to print Envelopes on most Printers. You may have to
disable the Paper Out Sensor on your Printer. If you are printing
single Envelopes be sure to put the flap of the Envelope through first
to lessen the thickness.
The Envelope, Shipping and Address Label sections all work the same
way. See the <Help Screens> from the Search Bar Menu which will
explain the different ways to Search and Print.
DESIGN LABELS/POST CARDS
In this unique section of Labels Plus! you can design your own Labels
and Post Cards or type short notes or letters to others. Labels for
File Folders, Parts and Equipment Identification, Index Cards, Audio
and Video Cassette Labels and dozens more.
Select <CREATE LABEL/POST CARD> from the Main Menu and press <Enter>
Key.

Select <Edit> and press <Enter> Key. Use Cursor Keys to move around in
Edit area. Use <Delete> Key to delete characters or to move a sentence
from right to left. Pressing the <Insert> Key will move a sentence
from Left to Right. When you have Finished press the <F10> Key to
return to the Menu.
Select <Specs> and press <Enter> Key. Enter Number of Last Line used
for your new Label/Post Card. Enter Number of Line Feeds you need
between the Labels/Post Cards when printed.
The option of sending Special Printer Commands to the Printer is now
available. Six Commands can be sent with each Command in effect on a
Line that you specify. Enter the CHR$ CODES for each Command.
Select the <Save> option and press the <Enter> Key to save your new
Label/Post Card. You will have to give your creation a File Name not
over eight characters long. Labels Plus! will automatically add the
extension of <.WCS> to your File Name when it is saved to disk. This
extension is automatic, do not type in this extension at any time.
Select <Clear> and press <Enter> Key to Clear the Edit area of Data.
Select <Print> and press <Enter> Key to print out your Labels/Post
Cards.
Select <List> and press <Enter> Key to see a List of the Files you
have saved. Also use this option to Erase a File.
Select <Get> and press <Enter> Key. Enter <File Name> and press
<Enter> Key to bring the file from Disk to the Screen. Use the <List>
option if you have forgotten the Name of the File you want.
PRINTER UTILITY
The Printer Utility is used to send a Special Command to the Printer
such as a Letter Quality Print or Disable Paper Out Command. You must
use it each time you Load the Program. It is not Automatic. Follow the
prompts. Ten spaces are available for the Turn On Command.
TO PRINT OUT THESE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE A: PROMPT ENTER THE
FOLLOWING:

OTHER PROGRAMS AVAILABLE (Check with your Shareware Dealer)
FASTZIP MAIL - This program is similar to Labels Plus! but you have
the Option of Printing the New! Postnet Bar Code on Envelopes, Post
Cards, Shipping Labels and Address Labels. 1000 Name/Address Record
File. Multiple Record File Option with a capacity of 5000 Name &
Address Records available.
FASTZIP STATEMENT/INVOICE - This program automatically calculates
Discounts, Sales Tax, Multiplies Items by Unit Price, Separates
Taxable Items from Non Taxable Items and Prints the New! Postnet Bar
Code on the Statement or Invoice for Window Envelopes. 1000 Name and
Address Record File. Multiple Record File Option with a capacity of
5000 Name/Address Records available. Will also bring up Address
Records from the FASTZIP MAIL programs Database for printing on the
Statement or Invoice. Prints a nice Statement/Invoice on Plain Paper.
Fourteen Lines available in description area.
MAGNIFICENT ADDING MACHINE - This program turns your Computer into a
full size Adding Machine with all the Functions available. Automatic
Discount and Sales Tax calculations. Prints crossways on regular
computer paper and Labels and Dates the Print out. Makes adding up
long columns of figures easy.
